Some people ask me on twitter that which is the best android to buy right now? and most of the times, i say go for a nexus 5! and then they ask me why would I go for a nexus 5 if i can go for high end phones like lg g2, note 3 or iphone 5s! Right now the nexus 5 is the third most selling phone right after galaxy s4 and iphone 5s! but why this happens? Why most people prefer nexus 5 over high end flagships?
Well the answer is quite simple and here it is!
First of all, i would like to start off with the PRICE and that is actually the most important reason! Nexus 5 is the only phone you can get right now at 350$ and still have all the features of a flagship! True that galaxy s4 and xperia z are always available now but these phones are not that good as you think! both the phones heat up a lot and lag at some points! Xperia z battery life is also too poor! And in nexus 5, you face no lags or heating issues!
Second reason why nexus 5 is great is the pure android experience or you can say stock android! Ya you don't get features like multi-window or anything but after some point, you kind of stop using these feature as they consume a lot battery life! Nexus 5 just does what it says, giving you the best android experience! You don't get all the comic gestures or features you don't use after buying a phone! So better save a couple of bucks!
Third is as you all know android updates! Whenever any update is released by google, nexus 5 user is the first one to take advantage of all the new features! On other phones, you gotta wait at least a month or two!
Fourth is the design! It's not totally plastic neither totally aluminium! It is a solid phone constructed with scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and polycarbonate plastic on the back. The texture of the phone's back is slightly different with each color; the black has a matte, soft-touch finish that looks and feels great (as long as you don't touch it with greasy hands, that is). The white version, meanwhile, is more in line with Google's description of "silky," offering a smooth texture that isn't at all glossy or shiny. Of course, that makes it a little tougher to grip, so you'll want to go with black if accidental drops are a concern.
The phone is neither feels cheap nor is delicate like a glass!
So that was it! Those were the four top reasons why nexus 5 is better than most high end phones! Do keep in mind these things while buying a new phone! Sure if you want all the different features you get on different phones, go for them!
