Phonesoldier talks: The All New HTC ONE (M8) rumor roundup!

11:42 AM Posted by phonesoldier , , , , , No comments

We are just a day away from the all new HTC one launch aka the htc m8 but there are a lot of things we already know through leaks and hands on videos! So I am just going to collect all these rumors and tell you what we know until now! Let us begin the THE ALL NEW HTC ONE RUMOR ROUNDUP!
The all new HTC One (HTC M8) rumor round-up: camera, specs, release date and design pictures

DUO CAMERAS- TWO CAMERAS ON THE BACK!

There are basically three cameras on the all new htc one including two on the back and one on the front! This is actually the first phone to have this feature and probably the most exciting feature of this phone!
HTC teasing the dual camera on the new OneWe have actually already seen smartphones with dual rear cameras, but their goal was 3D photography, while the cameras on HTC’s new big thing are said to contribute to improving traditional 2D photography rather than 3D.
The actual benefits of the dual camera become visible once you open a captured image, as you can apply “Duo effects” to the picture. Basically it will help you to take a wider shot and more details in your image! Other improvements on the camera according to HTC are improvements in the ultrapixel technology and increased auto focus speed!

DESIGN: MORE INTENSE METAL!

As we saw in the leaks that this phone is going to continue the tradition of its predecessor by having the same design! But what's different is that the metal will be more intense and the body will be more curved than before!
It will be a bit larger with a 5inch 1080p display and will not have the capacitive keys, instead it will have onscreen buttons to decrease the bezels

NEW INTERFACE: THE SENSE 6.0!

The all new htc one will come with the sense 6.0 and the android kitkat! There aren't many changes with the UI but we are still going to see some changes!
The most interesting new feature seems to be the added support for 'Motion Launch gestures' like double-tap to wake the phone's display.
The BlinkFeed news aggregator is still a swipe away (but it’s been improved and loads faster), and now you can swipe twice to see its contents by category. The two biggest changes are in the camera app and the settings menu. The camera app now has large, round icons that are easy to tap on, and in settings the icons have also been simplified, getting that trendy, flat styling.

MORE POWERFUL SPECS!

The all new HTC One (HTC M8) rumor round-up: camera, specs, release date and design picturesThe old htc one was a really powerful device with absolutely no lags but the all new htc one with be obviously a lot better and
will be a lot powerful!
Under the hood, the new HTC One is expected to ship with a quad-core Snapdragon 801 system chip (likely, the MSM8974-AB version of it) with 2GB RAM. This is the same chip that powers devices like the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Sony Xperia Z2, (the Z2 has slightly more RAM - 3GB) so it should be more or less on par with the top performers.
The new and exciting thing  is the added support for expandable storage(which was really needed). The new HTC One should come with a microSD card expansion slot, so you can expand the storage freely and can move a ton of entertainment to your phone!

TO SUM UP...

To sum up, the all new htc one will be more powerful, more premium and more deserving as we see it!
But we do expect some more features from htc other than we saw and we hope for the best!
Let's see how it turns out!

So that's it for today's article! HOPE YOU LIKED IT!

Could the canvas knight become the next big thing for micromax?

11:23 AM Posted by phonesoldier , , , , 2 comments
A Lot of Indian companies have been trying to conquer the low budget smartphone market but some of them are already making their way to the next step that is smartphone priced above 20k and one of them is micromax which recently announced the canvas knight an octa core processor powered smartphone! So let's find out that will this phone become the next big thing for micromax?

Well some of you might say right now that who would pay 20k for a micromax phone? But wait until we decide whether this phone is capable of changing micromax's game or not!
Micromax canvas knight comes with the most high end specs including 1920x1080  5.0 inches (~441 ppi pixel density) screen, 2gb ram, 16mp camera,32gb internal storage,5mp secondary camera and how could we forget the  legendary 2ghz octa core processor! Well, you would say that this specs already come in more trusted companies like Samsung,Nokia,lg and many more, then why would I buy a micromax phone? The answer is the PRICE! This phone is priced at 22k! But still there are some quarks for which this article is being written!

First of all the customer service of micromax, that is the most poor part of micromax! After experiencing customer services of Nokia or any other big company , you wouldn't really like the way micromax treats it's customers! It's not really their fault, they are right now in a developing Stage so no one knows whether after this phone's success, that might change or not but from our side we hope for the best!

Second thing that is bothering me is the battery life! With a 2ghz octa core processor, this phone comes with a Non-removable Li-Ion 2350 mAh battery, which is really bad! Micromax are already not that great in battery life, but with an octa core processor and a Non-removable battery, this could get worse, but let's see how it turns out after it is launched in the market!

The third thing that could affect the sale of this particular device is the updates! This phone comes with jellybean 4.2.2 which is getting a little bit old as we are now on 4.4! Micromax phones almost never receive android updates! So how are they going to cope up with technology race with an older operating system in a phone that is releasing in march 2014!

The next thing that I think is one of the worst problem with micromax phones is connectivity issues! These phones are really poor in GPS services, 3G networks or call quality! Call quality is not that big issue but GPS could cause  a big problem in the world of google maps!

So that was it, those were the most important concerns that I think one should keep in mind before going for this phone! These could rock the smartphone market by launching at 21k but I think you should wait for the next version of this phone so that it could get better or micromax could progress in the fields I mentioned!
So this is it for This article! Thank you for reading! Do follow me on twitter @phonesoldier to hear more from me!
