How will the launch of Nokia x affect windows phone market share!

Windows phone have been already struggling with making its position in mobile market! and almost 90% of the windows phone market share belongs to Nokia, and in this share, lumia 520/525 have about 55% share! In this situation Nokia launching android budget smartphones with all the Nokia benefits like here maps, mix radio etc.  will affect the windows phone market share at some extent! How much you ask? The answer is here!
Windows phone is a great operating system but what makes it even more good is the services that Nokia provides and there are a lot of people who buy windows phone just for these services even if they don't like the OS! And lumia phones are the only phones that don't lag even if they are low end phones! So in this situation of Nokia , they launch android phones with the same services and a lot of more apps but this will not affect the windows phone a lot, maybe at some extent but not that much as you think it will! Let's look at the reasons why not!

First of all, the android OS is a heavy OS and requires a lot more processing than windows phone and the Nokia x series only come with a 1ghz dual core processor and a maximum 768 Mb of ram! Looking at these specs it seems like these phone is going to lag a lot, the answer is yes but not that much! Nokia has completely changed the base of the OS with its live tile and fastlane but still these phone will lag at some extent! On the other side we have a lumia 525 with the same specs but with 1gb of ram and the most important a lighter OS! So who do you think will work better, definitely the lumia 525! The Nokia x series will work good too but lumia will do better! Actually that's the main concept of Nokia x series, they are selling a lumia phone just with a different OS! People after getting on the Nokia x phones will eventually realize that windows phone is better when it comes to low budget smartphones!

The second is the app store! You probably would think Nokia x is obviously better in app field and it is true but not that much! All the apps you are getting on the Nokia x are Coming to the windows phone one by one and run better on windows phone as the apps that are made for windows phone requires less processing! So if you look at this way, windows phone is still better than the Nokia x series because after installing all the apps, you are still left with a smoother phone when we see windows phone ! On the other hand, you are going to eventually fill up the Nokia x phones and you are then left with the same laggy android phone!

The third feature that is better on the lumia phones, is the camera! I know Nokia XL also sports a 5mp camera, but you get all the Nokia camera advantages on the lumia! True, if you want a secondary camera, then Nokia XL is good ! But in the primary camera, I giving a little edge to the lumia phones!

Another feature that windows phone wins here is the purity! You get the pure windows phone experience on the lumia whereas on the Nokia x , you could the forked android! You are just taking the app store, nothing else! Not even confirmed that these phones will receive actual android updates or not! So keep in mind that too!

the next thing that makes a difference is the app perfection! You are going to face a lot of app crashes on the Nokia x phones!

So after reading this article, you would think that lumia is still better or you are just going to try the Nokia android phone but the market share of the windows phone is going to dip that much as you think after the Nokia's android phones! It will decline a little bit but not that much as Nokia said these phones will always remain low end phones so you are not going to see a high end Nokia android phone! windows phone market share will still remain almost the similar as people will eventually realize that windows phone is better when we talk about low end smartphones!
